Want to become a qualified English Language Teacher or upgrade to a recognised qualification like the CertTESOL? Every journey starts with the first step and yours has led you here. You want to become a qualified English language teacher, or upgrade your present certificate for a globally recognised qualification in TESOL. You’re trawling through the many courses advertised and want to know which course is best for you.

We’ve been there. At the start of our careers we had the same choice to make. Because we’ve been there, we want to be very clear about what we offer and what we don’t.

How can I study for the Trinity CertTESOL online with Language Point?

Our CertTESOL course is the first in the word to be delivered entirely online, with assessed Teaching Practice lessons observed via video recording or streaming. This online course can be studied from wherever you live and work, and to a timeframe which suits you. For the first time, you are free to study for this benchmark qualification in TESOL however and wherever you wish.

At every stage of the course, you will be given support through online feedback to your work, as well as regular live online tutorials with a course tutor, to help you work through the course to the best of your ability.

The face-to-face Teaching Practice phase of the course is 4 weeks in duration, and you have the choice of teaching on-site at a location of your choice, or delivering classes through an online platform. This phase of the course also includes the final assessment interview with a Trinity College London CertTESOL moderator, which is also held online.

    FAQs

    Q Why choose this course?

We're often asked "is the course easy?"

The honest answer is no. If you're looking to grab a quick off the rack TEFL certificate, throw a sarong in your backpack and get on the road, we politely suggest that this is not the course for you.

We'll be up front: the Trinity CertTESOL is a professional qualification and that means you are required to put the work in. It is externally moderated and assessed, which means it is standardised and quality assured.

We've been in the situation where employment visa laws have changed in the country we were in. Suddenly, we were watching people packing their bags and having to leave because their qualifications were no longer at the required threshold to obtain a visa. It's always sad to see people leave before they wanted to, and we've said goodbye to a lot of really amazing people over the years.

Is it worth the work? Yes. As a recognised OFQUAL Level 5 qualification you have the edge, both when it comes to getting a teaching job and in the classroom.

    Q Why choose us?

We are a Trinity College London validated provider. You'll find our Centre Number located on the Trinity badge at the top of the page. Feel free to check us out here. Click to view larger map and scroll down the list of validated providers.

All of our trainers have a minimum of either a Masters Degree or a Level 7 Diploma in TESOL - which in normal people speak means a postgraduate qualification equal in level to a Masters.

Trinity College London is one of the most widely recognised accreditation bodies in TESOL, and its qualifications are validated by OFQUAL - the UK government's qualification awarding body. This means that the Trinity CertTESOL can be used as evidence of a suitable teaching qualification to help secure work visas in a variety of countries around the world.

The Trinity CertTESOL is an OFQUAL listed Level 5 qualification on the Regulated Qualifications Framework. Feel free to check it, or any other qualification, out here and simply search for the Trinity CertTESOL.
