Bridge’s Teaching English Online Certification program is a four-course series designed to offer the ultimate preparation for the virtual classroom. You can choose to start with one course at a time, or bundle together and save! The 60-Hour Foundations in Teaching English Online and 60-Hour Advanced Methods in Teaching English Online courses will help you master the terms, technology, and teaching methods to enter the virtual classroom with confidence – and you’ll earn a 120-Hour Certification if you take them together.
Enhance your education and qualifications even further by taking all 4 components of the 210-hour Teaching English Online + Practicum. On top of the Foundations and Advanced courses, you will do a 60-hour practicum and 30-hour Teaching English Online as a Freelancer course as part of our most complete bundle for only $475.
Bridge is dedicated to training teachers of English as a foreign language. We have designed professional development courses and certification programs for the global English teacher. The courses can be delivered in several modalities (in person, online or blended) according to the needs and preferences of our students. Our trainees consist of native and non-native English speakers, and include PK-12 teachers, university professors, instructors in language schools, private tutors, and online teachers of English.
We accredited by ACCET (the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training, an entity officially recognized by the United States Department of Education) and Aqueduto (the Association for Quality Education and Training Online). All BridgeTEFL programs and courses are approved by these accrediting bodies. Many of our courses also have university backing through ACE Credit, which recommends our courses for graduate and undergraduate credit at 1,200 universities in the U.S. and Canada.

Am I qualified?
To take Bridge Specialized Certificates, you must be at least 18 years old. If you are not a native English speaker, we recommend an advanced level of proficiency (C1) in order to successfully complete the course.
How long does it take?
You will have 3 months from the day you enroll in your Specialized Certificate to complete it. (Most students finish the course sooner – in four to six weeks.)
If you sign up Specialized Certificate along with one of our TEFL courses, we recommend you first complete your general TEFL course and then start your Specialized Certificate course. You will then have 3 months from the day you begin your Specialized Course to complete it.
Do I have to complete any assignments?
There are two assignments to complete during the course.
Does the course come with job placement assistance?
The course includes job placement assistance and access to our global job network via the BridgeTEFL Job Board. Connect with our Preferred Employment Partners & apply for as many positions as you want via our Common Application. If hired by a partner, get a tuition reimbursement of USD $50 or more!
Can I earn CEUs?
Yes! Our online TEFL courses are ACCET-accredited and may be taken for CEUs. You earn 1 CEU for every 10 hours of TEFL certification. For example, you can earn 6 CEUs by completing the 60-Hour Foundations in Teaching English Online course.
Can I earn College Credit?
Yes! The Foundations and Advanced Methods courses have been recommended for 3 undergraduate-level credits each by the American Council on Education’s College Credit Recommendation Service (ACE CREDIT®).
For students interested in requesting a nationally recognized transcript from ACE CREDIT to present to the university of their choice for the potential award of academic credit, we recommend meeting the following requirements:
• A graduate of or currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program
• For upper division credit, at least a junior with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
