AVSE-TESOL provides everything you need in one place, to start teaching English in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Our TESOL programme in Phnom Penh is accredited by the Australian Government. It involves a time commitment of 150 hours over a four-week period, including a minimum of 14 hours of ‘hands-on’, practical teaching experience.
New TESOL classes start every month. AVSE-TESOL welcomes expressions of interest from all comers, regardless of nationality. There are three key entry prerequisites: 1. decent English language skills, 2. a spirit of adventure, and 3. the ability to adapt to an unfamiliar environment.

AVSE-TESOL is located in the downtown area of Phnom Penh. Everything you need is located with walking distance – restaurants, pubs, coffee shops, banks, laundry facilities and the like. There is ‘wall-to-wall’ history on your doorstep with monuments, museums, pagodas and telling reminder of the Khmer Rouge period. Like most capital cities in the world, it’s wise to take basic safety precautions when you’re out and about. Phnom Penh is well-serviced by public transport including the TUK TUKs, motorbike taxis and an extensive bus network. The accommodation that’s included in the TESOL programme at AVSE-TESOL in Phnom Penh, is located within easy walking distance of the training centre.
