This pandemic has thrown a wrench into a lot of plans especially with restricted travel. I was able to find TEFLPros through Girls Love Travel and I am really glad I did. I have done some informal TEFL tutoring, but I never had any formal training. There is so much more that goes into lesson planning than I thought. TEFLPros laid out a great foundation for me to succeed with example teaching videos for each module. They reviewed grammar and gave sample activities to try out in class. It was a step by step guide and I really appreciated that the instructors were on hand to answer any questions. I recommend TEFLPros for their straightforward approach to learning.

This course was exactly what I was looking for, and far exceeded my expectations. As someone in my mid 30s with plenty of real-world, professional experience under my belt and degrees to boot, I was looking for a TEFL course that would cut to the chase and provide the information and practice I needed without all of the "busywork fluff" that can be so common in certification programs. I also wanted a program that would prepare me to be a self-sufficient instructor (i.e., I didn't want to pay for a notebook of lesson plans). Finally, I needed an online course (I currently work a demanding full-time job) that wouldn't' break the bank. As I said before, this course surpassed all of my HIGH expectations.

The program itself is well organized, easy to follow, and provides content in multiple modalities that support all of the learning styles. Customer services is responsive and thorough, though I didn't need to use it much because the course itself is extremely user-friendly.
The content provided in the learning modules is useful, informative, and easily implemented.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, the information isn't something you could easily Google and learn for free on your own. The course content is well worth the price, effort, and time.

I would absolutely recommend the the TEFLPros 120-hour course!

When I decided to take a TEFL course, I did a lot of research and found anything from $ 50 to $ 2000. In my opinion, anything over $ 400 is too much for an online course. That was my first criterion. The second was to find a course that was informative and wouldn't bore me to death studying.

With Josh and Whitney's course, I made the best choice for myself. Of course, I don't know the other courses, but a big plus are the videos in the classroom and the videos that create the lesson plans. The modules are well structured and Josh and Whitney really know what they are talking about.

My work was reviewed within a few days and the comments are very helpful. Answers to questions came very quickly and were knowledgeable and friendly. I am completely satisfied with the course and will always consult him.

A TEFL course is just the beginning. It is up to everyone to continue to educate themselves in order to become a good teacher who can inspire others to learn while having fun.

I have found YouTube to be a great source for classroom management, ESL games, grammar.

This course has amazing resources that other courses do not offer. For me the real in-class recordings that demonstrate course material were very helpful and allowed me to really grasp ideas and concepts much more than I could have done just from a textbook. I'd recommend signing up for the 2-day free trial so you can see the diversity of resources that this course provides for yourself, as this is what confirmed to me that this course was the best on offer (while still being at an affordable price).

I searched online for TEFL courses and thankfully found this one. TEFL Pros course is an excellent course. I have friends that are teachers, one of whom teaches a language course and is in her 28th year of teaching, and she eavesdropped on several of the course modules. She told me the information they were teaching was absolutely spot on and well presented.

During my first few days I had a problem logging on and when I contacted them, their response was quick and they got me back on track almost immediately.

Like many people who venture into the world of online TEFL courses, I felt inundated with options and potential courses to choose from. There are so many TEFL courses available; the amount of choice can seem somewhat daunting. However, for me, TEFLPros stood out above the rest. To start with, every review I read distinguished Joss and Whitney as TEFL teachers with a difference. This leads to what was, for me, a second 'deal breaker;' I warmed to the way in which, with TEFLPros, students can immediately put a friendly face to the name by watching Joss and Whitney's video introduction. Many of the other online TEFL courses I came across did not seem to offer this level of personability. Then, the final clincher was this; TEFLPros lets you sample the first two modules, free of charge. Again, as far as I could see, there were no other online TEFL courses who offered this level of openness and transparency. Finally, TEFLPros seemed reasonably priced, without being 'too good to be true.' Therefore, I decided TEFLPros was the option for me.

When I began the course, I was certainly not disappointed. Joss and Whitney offer a wealth of wisdom and classroom expertise. I especially enjoyed their video tutorials where they sit and sketch out their lesson plans by hand, step-by-step, with pen and paper. This teaching strategy offers a gradual acclimation to the lesson planning process. In addition, it gives the sense that you are being mentored, one-to-one, by an expert. Adding to that, Joss and Whiteny both come across as warm, upbeat, friendly and relatable. This helped me to feel engaged and motivated while studying remotely, without the 'human touch' in classroom based learning. In addition, there is a wealth of classroom footage, showing real TEFL teachers in action within a variety of classroom contexts. This is invaluable because it gives the opportunity to become an observer and glean key teaching points and strategies first hand.

There is also a thorough and comprehensive grammar section which I found especially interesting. I discovered that, even as a lifelong English speaker, there is still so much to learn in regards to the nuts and bolts of English grammar. In this sense, the TEFLPros course marks the beginning of an interesting and enriching journey. Joss and Whitney provide a solid framework in regards to the building blocks of grammar. I also like the way in which Joss and Whitney offer thoughtful, sensitive advice in regards to teaching in various cultural contexts and how to navigate the classroom as a new teacher.

All in all, I found TEFLPros a highly engaging, positive, enriching experience which helped me to transform my time in Covid isolation into something worthwhile, forward looking and valuable to my future prospects, my wellbeing and sense of accomplishment. In addition, TEFLPros has given me the opportunity to 'Pay it Forward’ and enrich my future students with new opportunities to grow, develop and discover new opportunities in their own lives. The second I discovered TEFLPros, I felt relieved. No more searching. No more wandering through the woods of courses without knowing which one I can trust. There was this pleasant feeling of casual familiarity with Jos and Whit that followed through my whole experience with the training. I registered for this program, as I needed the certificate for a position I was applying for. I can honestly confirm that it was one of the most educational course I have taken in a very long time. The course is a lot of work, but they way that the structure of the different modules facilitates easy learning and genuine retention. The resources included are useful, way beyond the use of the course. Every time I had a question or concern, I received a helpful response very quickly. I really cannot recommend the course enough.

I just completed and received my TEFL Pros certificate and I am beyond pleased with my experience! I really appreciated the breakdown of this course. Very robust instructional support: video demos of actual TESL classrooms, ample printed text, and responsive to questions.

The video demos boasted my confidence that I could be an effective ESL teacher. There were several teachers used throughout the video demos--some were excellent; others not so much. I learned both what I would want to do and what I would not do.

The two main instructors—Joc and Whit—provided very clear instructions and lot of tips and advice about do's and don'ts. Their approach was consistent among themselves. And their enthusiasm came across for their love of the profession.

The feedback on my portfolio was specific and constructive.

Only regret: I wasn't there in Thailand observing first hand to practice and receive real-time feedback.

I very much enjoyed my time doing the TEFL Pros course. The modules were easy to understand and straight forward. While more geared towards teaching ESL to adult learners, the information was presented in a way that elements can still be applied to teaching kids too. I especially like the abundance of classroom observation videos, which is something that you can't always experience doing an online course. Additionally, the portfolio assignments after each module were a good way to review and cement your knowledge of the information they are teaching. Any communication with Whitney or Jos was very polite and they were always open to help if needed. I absolutely recommend this program, especially to someone needing something that you can work on at your own pace.

TEFLPros was definitely the right decision for me. I am in no hurry so I took my time reading lots of reviews and this course kept coming up organically as one of the best courses. Others had a lot of louder marketing and constant emails but TEFLPros flies under the radar a bit, which I liked.

I liked that they focus on practical skills because this is all new to me and I didn't realize how different it was to speak English vs. teach English. It's also really important for me to feel prepared to do my job, which is how I feel after taking the course. It's very hands on and after completing the course, I have written 7 of my own lesson plans (and got real human feedback on all of them). It's just a start but I know it's a lot more practical than what other courses offer. All in all, my girlfriend and I are both really happy with our choice.

I am really happy that I chose TEFLPros to do my certification. My boyfriend and I spent a while researching courses and this one kept coming up as a top rated course. I'm a big question asker and they were super supportive from beginning to end, which I really appreciate. I liked the transparency and directness of how they answered things too - it felt really refreshing after I had gotten bogged down in 1000 emails from other companies. They actually have someone answering your emails, not just an automated thing that gets sent out.

On the actual course, my favorite part was the amount of video. I tend to get bored easily but the video kept the whole process really engaging. My boyfriend and I spent a lot of time looking through different courses and the thing I loved about TEFLPros was the really personalized feel about everything - like they knew exactly how we were feeling as new potential teachers and what our real concerns were. The thing that really was the icing on the cake with these guys was their support. I have a LOT of questions and Abby, their academic coordinator, was responsive and super helpful. Even if she wasn't sure about something, she found the answer and got back to me. I never got an automated response/email to my questions. (I'm on their mailing list and that's different because it's more about resource etc.)

I also liked that TEFLPros was really straightforward from start to finish. I felt like looking at the other courses, they all blended together into one nameless, faceless marketing email. But TEFLPros had a human component in their operations that everything else seemed to kind of lack. This was also the case on the actual course. The co-founders are the two main instructors on the course (8 teachers in total) and there are almost 50 hours of instructional video so it feels almost like as if I were in a real classroom. Actually a lot of those hours, like probably more than 15, were in real classrooms.

Overall, I feel really prepared and I'm excited to start teaching online (my boyfriend already started!) and maybe teach in-person in the future. Thanks for a great first step TEFLPros :)

My girlfriend and I had been contemplating taking a TEFL course for a while and wanted to do it together. We searched around and read a lot of reviews. TEFLPros kept coming up as one of the top rated courses so after some discussion, we went for it. The course really gives a lot of instruction on practical skills which I personally appreciated since I want to be able to do my job well. It was helpful for me to see them actually writing out the lesson plans step-by-step and then seeing them taught in real classes. I also really liked the practical component of observation and submitting my own lesson plans. There are multiple choice quizzes as well, but the hands-on experience and feedback were the thing that really stood out compared to other online options we looked at.

Although I'm teaching online at the moment, the skills that I learned from this course have already helped me get through writing lesson plans and I'm looking forward to teaching in-person soon.

My experience taking TEFLPros' 120 course was excellent. Being an online course allowed me to take the lessons from my home or office at the time that best suited me. You can also download the material to study offline if you want to or if you want to save a copy on your device. The course material is presented in video form, but if the student prefers reading through it at their own pace, they can do so too. Units also include questions to answer before the unit and an overview to fill out during or after the lesson to help memorize the material. As for the content of the lessons, in my opinion, the material was great. The teachers didn't go into tangents, sticking only to what's relevant to teaching English as a foreign language in a practical and effective way. Each module has videos of real teachers teaching students so you can see how the topics that you're learning are applied and an attached zip file with the materials and lesson plans those teachers used that you can download and study, which I used as examples to make my own plans. The portfolio assignments and module quizzes are fair, the questions and multiple choice options are clear and they stick to assessing what was discussed in the modules. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone that wants to pursue a TEFL Certificate.

My husband and I have been missionaries for over 15 years. I have been teaching English for the past 5 years, privately and in schools over seas.

I really enjoyed my students and felt that I was giving back to the world.

I highly recommend the TEFLPros 120 Hour Digital TEFL Course. It is a fantastic course. I was so deeply impressed by the content of this course, the standard of instruction given and the amount of really useful information it contained. It has really provided me with the education I needed to become the teacher I wish to be. I have learnt so much. I spent a good amount of time researching different TEFL companies to go with and I was totally comfortable when I chose TEFLPros and I'm really glad I did. One thing that stood out for me was their straightforward, direct approach, both in how they explained what they offer before the course, how the lessons were run during the course and the support after the course. I got SO many other lonnnnnng emails (which I'm still getting!) from other courses with a zillion different offerings I felt like my head was going to explode, not to mention when I went on the sites and the pop ups and 9 drop downs menus and asking me all sorts of information. TEFLPros was clear from the moment I found their site. Maybe that doesn't matter to other people but it was a major selling point for me. The course was exactly the same. I had originally wanted to do a hybrid in-person/online course, but with Covid I had to reroute. Most 100% online TEFL courses are a bit sketchy and their promise off a job wasn't what I was looking for. Having never formally taught before, the way they broke down lesson planning was very helpful. I now have a portfolio of lesson plans I worked hard to create and documents showing my understanding of grammar and classroom management. And when I had a question about the course, they responded in detail within a day.

I found the TEFLPros course to be very clear, thoughtful and well-organized. I loved watching the classroom videos of real teachers in real action with real students. I appreciated the different ways to absorb the information - via video, audio (trainer chats) and PDFs. I especially enjoyed the assignments within each module. It gave me a chance to use what I learned and also to be creative and let my ideas flow. I felt like Whitney and Jos, the founders of the program, were right there with me. There was no practical classroom teaching time as this is an online course. The only drawback for me, personally, was that the course is very geared toward people who want to live and teach abroad. I'm not doing that right now. The students in the video were not in the age range I'll likely teach (small children and older adults). I wish there had been a bit more information about how to do lessons for children just starting to learn English (as I did when I moved to the U.S. at a young age) or for older folks (say, 30 and up). However, I learned a ton and know that I can customize what I learned for my own in-person or Skype/Zoom lessons. Highly recommend!

I've been working in the field of TESOL for more than 26 years, and the 120-hour TEFLPros Certificate course was one of the best Professional Development opportunities I've ever had. I know I want to travel the world and, let's put it this way, 2020 hasn't been a gem. However, even though I was stuck at home, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to plan for my future.

I did thorough research into TEFL courses and TEFLPros always came with praise and positive reviews, and I'm afraid to disappoint but this is another! The course experience was fantastic.

I've never done a completely online course before and I felt just as supported with TEFLPros online as I do in a classroom environment. What's brilliant for me is their approach to learning, giving multiple ways for you (as the student) to access and retain the information. As a learner, I struggle to read and learn from that alone. TEFLPros had videos and audio to complement their written content allowing me to take ownership of how I wish to learn.

The recording of lessons is a great help and guide - it's very useful. Whitney and Jos have laid the course out well and are full of knowledge through their personal experience as English language teachers. I never had a situation in which I needed to contact them directly, but I know that they are always there if needed.

I thought this course was extremely efficient and well-taught while also being approachable and manageable, as well as hugely affordable compared to comparable programs. The course includes many hours of classroom observations of real TEFL teachers (I believe from Thailand) and seeing them work is in itself enormously educational. The course material, too, is given in small sections with videos usually between 15 and 45 minutes, making it really easy to schedule in, even during a busy day. The portfolio assignments also mean that you have lesson plans to show employers at the completion of the program, and any time I had questions, I was able to reach out and receive quick, friendly assistance. Whitney and Jocelyn did an amazing job with this!!
